Core FAQs
What services do you offer?
I specialize in custom wedding stationery and calligraphy, including invitation suites, envelope addressing, day-of paper goods (menus, place cards, seating charts), and custom illustrations. I also offer select semi-custom and digital options depending on your needs.
Do you offer fully custom wedding invitations?
Yes! Custom invitation suites are designed from scratch to reflect your style, wedding details, and overall vision. This can include custom layouts, calligraphy, illustrations, paper selections, and finishes.
What’s the difference between custom and semi-custom invitations?
Custom invitations are designed entirely from the ground up, while semi-custom designs start from an existing collection and are personalized with your wording, colors, and select details. Custom offers the most flexibility and one-of-a-kind results.
How far in advance should we book?
For custom wedding invitations, I recommend reaching out 6–9 months before your wedding. Day-of stationery and envelope calligraphy typically book 2–4 months in advance, depending on availability.
What is your average investment for wedding invitations?
Custom invitation suites typically begin at a higher investment due to the design time, materials, and production involved. Final pricing depends on quantity, printing method, paper choices, and embellishments. A personalized quote is provided after an initial consultation.
Do you work with couples outside of Pittsburgh?
Yes! While I’m based in Pittsburgh, I work with couples all over the country. The entire design process can be completed virtually.
Design & Process FAQs
What does your design process look like?
After booking, we’ll walk through a guided design process that includes inspiration, initial concepts, revisions, and final approvals before printing. I keep everything organized and easy to follow so nothing feels overwhelming.
How many revisions are included?
Revisions are included during the design phase to ensure everything feels just right. My goal is for you to love your stationery before it goes to print.
Can you match my wedding colors or venue?
Absolutely. I regularly incorporate wedding color palettes, venue details, and personal touches into designs—including custom venue illustrations.
Do you provide wording help?
Yes! I guide couples through invitation wording, etiquette, and layout so you don’t have to stress about what goes where.
Printing & Materials FAQs
Do you offer letterpress, foil, or specialty printing?
Yes—depending on the project. I work with professional print partners and offer options like letterpress, foil stamping, and specialty papers when appropriate for your design and budget.
Can I supply my own paper or envelopes?
In some cases, yes. I’m happy to review supplied materials to make sure they’re compatible with your project.
Will I see a proof before printing?
Always. You’ll review digital proofs (and sometimes physical samples, when applicable) before anything goes to print.
Calligraphy & Day-Of Details FAQs
Do you offer envelope addressing?
Yes! I offer hand-lettered envelope calligraphy for wedding invitations, including guest and return addressing.
What day-of stationery do you create?
Menus, place cards, escort cards, seating charts, table numbers, signage, and other wedding day paper goods—all designed to coordinate with your invitations.
Can you create custom illustrations?
Yes! Custom illustrations are one of my favorite parts of the process—venues, pets, monograms, crests, and more.
