Way back in 2014, before wedding stationery was my Way back in 2014, before wedding stationery was my whole world, my little sister was planning her wedding and wanted one of a kind invitations. So she went hunting through antique shops and collected vintage handkerchiefs, every single one unique, and we screen printed her invitation right onto the fabric. I designed the suite, she sourced all the linens, and the whole thing came together into something completely one of a kind. This was honestly so much fun to create, and I never would have guessed back then that I’d be designing wedding stationery all the time now.Save this if you love the idea of invitations that feel like a keepsake, not just a card#weddinginvitations vintageweddinginvitations handkerchiefinvitation screenprintedinvitations weddingkeepsake uniqueweddinginvitations weddingstationery weddingdetails vintagewedding fineartwedding pittsburghwedding pittsburghweddings weddinginspo
One of my favorite things about designing a weddin One of my favorite things about designing a wedding from start to finish is watching the design carry all the way through the day.For Cassie and Brad, that meant table numbers tucked among the dahlias, coordinating place cards resting on every sage napkin, a “Be Our Guest” seating chart welcoming guests as they arrived, and a signature cocktails sign at the bar. Each piece was designed to feel like a natural extension of their invitation suite, not something added on later.Day-of paper is the part couples don’t always think about when they first inquire. It’s also the part their guests remember. If you’re planning your day-of paper, I’d love to talk. Inquiry link in bio.Photographer: @adam_michaels

Hand-lettered directly onto a full-size mirror, wi Hand-lettered directly onto a full-size mirror, with florals cascading at the base. This was the seating chart for Abby and Jon’s reception, and it’s still one of my favorite seating charts I’ve ever lettered.Mirror seating charts feel like an installation as much as a guide. Guests gather around them, take photos in front of them, and they end up becoming part of the wedding’s visual story instead of just directing traffic.
Paired with hand-lettered place cards tied with pink ribbon at every setting and custom menus running the length of candle-lit tables, the whole reception felt cohesive from the moment guests walked in.If you’re planning your day-of paper and dreaming up something beyond the expected, I’d love to talk. This is one of my favorite details from Kara and E This is one of my favorite details from Kara and Eric’s wedding.Every menu was printed on seed paper, made to be planted by guests after the wedding. Vegetable seeds, ready to grow into something living long after the day was over. For a couple who cared so much about conservation, it felt right to turn the one piece of paper most weddings throw away into something that gives back. The rest of the day-of paper carried the same intention, from custom watercolor table signs to a bar menu that pulled the whole ocean palette through to cocktail hour.Custom design isn’t only about how something looks. Sometimes the most meaningful detail is what happens to the paper after.Planning @eventsbyemily.pgh
