Not sure what to write on your invitations?

Grab the free wording guide and take one thing off your to-do list.

One of the most fun ways to start planning your we One of the most fun ways to start planning your wedding invitations is with a sample kit in your hands. This one is heading out to a couple who just had their first consult with me. They hadn’t seen a lot of invitations recently and didn’t have strong opinions yet, so I put a little bit of everything in the box. Paper options to feel. Letterpress to see up close. Envelope liners, vellum wraps, a gatefold sample, and of course an envelope calligraphy sample.Sometimes you don’t know what you love until you can hold it in your hands. If you’re at the beginning of planning your invitations and feeling unsure, that’s exactly the right time to reach out. Free consults always. Inquiry link in bio.
Some suites call for clean and modern. Others call Some suites call for clean and modern. Others call for romance. Victoria and Clayton’s was the second kind.Soft watercolor florals in dusty pink, lavender, and butter yellow. Names in delicate script. Every detail designed to feel a little dreamy.Romantic suites are some of my favorite to design. There’s something about pastel watercolor and soft script that just feels like a love letter.Photographer @leeannmariephoto

Some pieces stop being signage and start feeling l Some pieces stop being signage and start feeling like part of the room.Hand-lettered directly onto clear acrylic boxes, set on a white draped table with white florals cascading at the base, this seating chart caught the light through the tent and pulled guests in as they arrived.Custom day-of pieces like this are where personality shows up. The shapes you choose, the surfaces you letter on, the way the design lives in the venue itself, all of it adds up to something guests notice without quite knowing why.If you’re dreaming up your wedding day designs and looking for something beyond the expected, I’d love to talk. Custom illustration is one of my favorite parts of Custom illustration is one of my favorite parts of designing a suite, and Emily and Todd’s wedding gave me so much room to play.Their suite was built around watercolor. Every illustration was designed specifically for them, from the floral wreath framing the invitation to the custom map tracing the route to their venue. Soft coral, blush, and pale blue carried through every piece, with a line drawing of their wedding venue tucked inside as the envelope liner.Whether it’s a venue, a hometown, or a meaningful detail, having something illustrated specifically for a couple makes the paper feel like a portrait of the wedding instead of just an announcement of it.Planning & design | @eventsbyemily.pgh
