Extra Wedding Invitation Elements For Your Wedding
The wedding invitation suite is the way to let your guests know about your upcoming wedding. And it is also the first impression they will receive so you might as well make it a good one. The essential wedding invitation elements needed in the suite are the main invite, details card, RSVP card, and the envelope to contain it all. I go into all of those details right here if you need a refresher on what each piece entails. But now let’s get into a few extras that you can add to your suite. Don’t feel like you need to do all of this, you can definitely pick and choose between these extras to create the perfect suite tailored to your wedding.
Extra Wedding Invitation Elements
Outer & Inner Envelopes
One envelope is definitely needed for your invitations but if you want to do something extra you can use two envelopes, an outer and inner envelope. These are normally used for more formal weddings. They are also a way to be more specific with who is invited to the wedding. You will have the formal address on the outside envelope and then you can add family members, less formal wording and more on the inner envelope.
Map Card
With the invitation suite you usually have an extra card with all of the details but if you want to switch this card up or add an extra card to the suite a map card is so much fun. The map is not just decorative, but it can also be functional for guests to get an idea where everything is located in relation to each other. An illustrated map card is also another way to add more personality to your suite.
RSVP return envelope
There are a few ways you can handle your RSVP in your wedding invitation suite. You can have it as a website that doesn’t need to be sent back. Or if you want to receive the RSVPs in the mail you can do a postcard or include an additional envelope for the RSVP card, complete with your return address and postage. I love the idea of adding the extra envelope since you are then protecting the RSVP even more in the mail and it gives you the opportunity to pick another envelope color that can be different than the main envelope and add color!

These additional wedding invitation elements are definitely not necessary but can be fun to add on if you have the budget.
