Pittsburgh Wedding at the Riverfront

Emily & Todd’s Floral Pittsburgh Wedding
Okay, you guys, let me tell you about Emily & Todd’s Pittsburgh wedding! These two got married on a beautiful September day at the stunning Aspinwall Riverfront in Pittsburgh, and it was absolutely magical. From the moment I started working with them, I knew it was going to be something unforgettable.
Bringing their Wedding Invitations to Life:
Emily & Todd had such a fun vision for their wedding, and I was thrilled to help them bring it to life through custom stationery. We started with the invitations, of course! I designed a completely custom suite that included all of these fun elements:
- A Whimsical Pittsburgh Map: Featuring all the key locations for the wedding weekend, it was a fun and unique touch.
- A Custom Dog Illustration: Because let’s be honest, their dog IS family! The illustration was perfect for the RSVP cards and spoiler alert he makes an appearance for the wedding day designs too!
- Iconic Pittsburgh Illustrations: We incorporated illustrations of the iconic Pittsburgh bridges and the beautiful Riverfront venue.
- Peachy Perfection: The whole suite was accented with soft peachy colors and light blue touches, creating a truly romantic feel.
As soon as they mailed out their invitations Emily’s texts were blowing up with excited guests loving the invitations. We nailed the first impression with such personalized invitations for Emily & Todd’s Pittsburgh wedding!
Pittsburgh Wedding Day Design Details:
For the wedding day itself I designed a few special touches and was able to bring design elements from the invitations to life! I’m all about a fully cohesive design experience from invitations to the wedding day.
- Circle Menus with a Thank You: Guests enjoyed elegant circle menus with a heartfelt thank you note on the back. And these coordinated perfectly with the hyacinth chargers and knotted cheese cloth napkins.
- Floral Table Numbers: These added a touch of elegance to each table and also pulled in the florals from the invitations which coordinated perfectly with the real florals from the wedding day.
- Foil Stamped Napkins: Featuring a subtle illustration of their beloved dogs, these napkins were a luxurious and personalized detail. Plus they were so fun for guests to use when grabbing their favorite drinks from the bar.
- A Grand Welcome Sign: Showcasing the iconic Pittsburgh bridge illustration, this sign set the tone for the entire celebration.
A Pittsburgh Wedding Vendor Dream Team:
The wedding day was executed perfectly by Events by Emily with everything working perfectly together. All of the custom signage seamlessly integrated with the hundreds of details the couple & planner picked for the most perfect day. And I have to mention how perfect the flowers were from Lilac & Fawn. All of the floral arrangements perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic plus matched the invitation and wedding day design illustrations.
Emily’s Kind Words:
“Alicia is the most amazing vendor to work with for your wedding day. Custom invitation suites were never a priority for us, and neither was coordinating the day-of stationery… However, once we saw her work, doing everything with her was a must, and we are SO glad we found her (tip from our event planner/coordinator!). She truly brought all of my vision together, and we received numerous compliments on everything. We love the invitation suite so much that it was one of the first things we framed after the wedding.”
Working with Emily & Todd was such a joy! They were the sweetest couple, and it was an honor to be a part of their special day.
